Menceritakan bagaimana komunikasi berlaku dalam penggunaan komputer.

Data: Bahan mentah.
Dalam sistem maklumat komputer hanya binary digunakan iaitu 0 dan 1.

Component Data Communication:

2. receiver
3. protocol -tatacara
4. media/medium -cara penghantaran 

        -cable utp(handphone), stp, fiber, bluetooth, infrared, wireless(laptop)

     5. message -text image,audio, video, grafik
     6. equipment - computer, switch, router


Element penting semasa komunikasi:

1. privacy
2. security
3. performance(speed)
4.realibility(keupayaan) -lama mana masa yang diambil untuk cover masalah.
